Êzidîs commemorated massacred by facing Mount Shengal 2025-08-03 13:18:45 NEWS CENTER - On the 11th anniversary of the ISIS attack, Êzidîs (Yazidis) in Shengal commemorated those who lost their lives by turning their faces to Mount Shengal.   On the 11th anniversary of the massacre committed by ISIS against the Êzidî community on 3 August 2014, those who lost their lives were commemorated. In the city where life stopped, the people turned their faces to Mount Shengal and made a 3-minute silence for those who lost their lives. The people also saluted the struggle against ISIS during the commemoration.   Under the leadership of the Shengal Autonomous Administration, everyone from Herdan to Borik, Guhbel, Duhola, Dîgur, Sinûn and Xanesor, from the centre of Shengal to Girzerik, Tilezêr, Sîba and Mediban stopped life for 3 minutes.
