House raids were conducted in many cities including Amed, Istanbul, Mêrdîn, Şirnex and Ankara.  Peyas (Kayapınar) Municipality co-mayor Cengiz Dündar,  Mezopotamya Women Journalists Association (MKG) Roza Metina, journalist Ahmet Sümbül, director Ardin Diren, Yenişehir Municipality Council member Siyabend Demir, Pirtûka Kurdî Coordinator Baver Yoldaş, Nusret Akın and Ömer Barasi were detained in Amed. 

 

AMED 

 

Peyas (Kayapınar) Municipality co-mayor Cengiz Dündar,  Mezopotamya Women Journalists Association (MKG) Roza Metina, journalist Ahmet Sümbül, director Ardin Diren, Yenişehir Municipality Council member Siyabend Demir, Pirtûka Kurdî Coordinator Baver Yoldaş, Nusret Akın and Ömer Barasi, poet Hicri İzgören, writer Ömer Barasi and cartoonist Doğan Güzel were detained in house raids in Amed. 

 

ISTANBUL

 

Journalists Erdoğan Alayumat and Bilge Aksu, Human Rights Association (IHD) founder Nimet Tanrıkulu, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Deputy Co-Chair for the Labor Commission Sevtap Akdağ, İsa Özğan, Eyüp Ok, Mazlum Avcı, İsmail Toptamur, Necip Bingöl, Bahattin Bingöl, Halis Kandilci, Faysal Özdaş, Hamza Kaan, Leyla Doğan, Fersende Aksoy and Mehmet Yaşar Abatan were detained in house raids in Istanbul. It is stated that the house raids were conducted within the scope of an Eskişehir-based investigation. 

 

ÇANAKKALE 

 

In house raids in Çanakkale, 11 young people, DEM Party Gökçeada District Co-Chair Bedirhan Şeker, party executive Savaş Sarıbulak and 2 unidentified people were detained. Grounds for detention were not available. 

 

ÊLIH 

 

Journalist Mehmet Uçar was detained in a house raid in Êlih. 

 

MÊRDÎN 

 

Mehmet Şimdi (40), Mehmet Şimdi (22), Mehmet Nur Şimdi (22), Medine Şimdi (20), Roni Şimdi (17), Hevidar Taş, Serhat Aktaş, Arif Elban and Arife Elban were detained in house raids in Artuklu district of Mêrdîn. The detainees were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate. It is learned that the detentions were made due to trustee protests. 

 

ŞIRNEX

 

Several people were detained in house raids in Cizîr district of Şirnex. 

 

RIHA

 

4 people were detained in house raids across Riha (Urfa). Former DEM Party Karaköprü district co-chair Ulaş Çoban, Kubilay Yıldız, Ayfer Haykır and Mehmet Demir were detained. 

 

It is learned that the mother of H.A., for whom a detention warrant was issued, was beaten during house raids in rural Atgûden neighborhood of Hewag (Bozova). 

 

The detainees were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate. 

 

DÊRSIM

 

In house raids in Dêrsim, 4 people were detained among them. The detained names are as follows: Şiyar Ataş, Veli Akyol, Aynur Can, SES Dêrsim member Enes Boran.

 

MERSIN, ADANA, IZMIR

 

Muhammet Ayten, Mehmet Can Kızıltaş, Tamer Aslan, Nujiyan Ezer, Mehdiye Çiçekdağ, İlhan Bal, Bilal Sakmak, Gülistan Ötlaş and Berfin Hacer Çiçekdağ were detained in house raids in Tarsus district of Mersin. The detainees were taken to Tarsus District Security Directorate.

 

DISK Mersin Branch Chair Kemal Göksoy was detained in Akdeniz district.

 

Lawyer Şiar Rişvanoğlu was detained in Adana.  

 

Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) member Sezgin Zevkibol was detained in Izmir.  Zevkibol was taken to the Provincial Security Directorate in Çankaya.
